The authors extend the theorem on Lebesgue summability of single trigonometric series [see \textit{A. Zygmund}'s Trigonometric series: Part I (1977), Theorem 2.16, p. 322; cf. also 3rd edition, Cambridge Mathematical Library. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press. (2002; Zbl 1084.42003)] to double trigonometric series. The authors also present another proof of Theorem 2.16 mentioned above.
