On the theory of superfluidity (Q950099)

This paper is concerned with the study of dispersion spectra properties of Bose systems with repulsive interactions. The main result of the present paper establishes that the possible existence of local minima of the spectra and the energy barriers separating these minima are due to the Bose exchange symmetry. The proof follows the following steps: (i) a preliminary study of a kinetic property of a class of one-dimensional Bose systems with translational symmetry; (ii) the perturbation analysis of dispersion spectrum of a Bose system in the weak interaction regime; (iii) comparison of the dispersion spectrum of a spinless Bose system with the dispersion spectrum of a Bose system in which the particles have some internal degrees of freedom.
