The present volume belongs to a series of monographs on fuzzy aspects of intelligent behaviour. This one regards the concept of rationality related to information, knowledge and optimal choice in an uncertain environment. The text of the volume is divided into four main chapters dealing with rationality regarding general epistemics, information and knowledge, decision-making and also ideological aspects of rational decision-choice. Approximately forty per cent of the volume's extent is devoted to a large list of references. The presentation of the topics dealt with in the volume uses a minimum of formal mathematics. The preferred method used by the author is structural analysis and detailed heuristic discussion of particular topics.
