The authors show that in the framework of coercive elliptic partial differential equations of the divergence type the factorization method locates simultaneously the supports of positive (or negative) perturbations of the leading and zeroth order coefficients. Moreover, the authors show that the method remains functional even if the inhomogeneities have irregular boundaries and disconnected complements. Numerical experiments with simulated data confirm the obtained results.
