This paper deals with the two-dimensional seepage of groundwater into a sea, from a porous medium where filtration is governed by the Darcy law. The sidewise case is solved by applying the Polubarinova-Kochina method. When the seepage is from below, the author applies the Bear-Dagan scheme. Both methods rely on the theory of linear differential Fuchsian equations. Exact analytical relations are obtained. Performing further numerical calculations, the influence of each physical parameter upon the characteristics of the process is presented. Some limit cases are also studied.
