Existence and basis property of eigen and associated elements of linear operators (Q954161)

This paper is a continuation of a previous work on the spectrum of differential operators of the form \(A:= ay'(t+\tau ) +c(t)y(t)\), where \(\tau\) is a delay, on a Hilbert function space. The obtained results are then applied to the study the existence of periodic solutions of ordinary differential equations with delay. There are recent results with a more general setting of problems related to this paper, see, e.g., \textit{W.\,Arendt} and \textit{S.-Q.\thinspace Bu} [Integral Equations Oper.\ Theory 52, No.\,3, 299--321 (2005; Zbl 1088.47002)] and the references therein.
