The authors study stability properties of the bandwidth allocation algorithm First Fit for a simplified queuing model of storage and transmission. The input distribution is assumed to be concentrated on three sizes of requests and the bin is equal to five. Fluid limits of such systems starting from introduced by the authors ``smooth'' initial states are investigated.
