A new platform is proposed for visualizing on the Web statistical data that are accompanied by geographical information. The Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) language is used for description of graphical information (including geographical maps), and the R package is applied for statistical processing on the server side. Asynchronous Java scripts and the XML (Ajax) framework is used for client-server communication via HTTP. Vector graphics of SVG and dynamical updates via Ajax minimize the Web page communication. Using R reduces the cost for statistical applications developments. Applications to market area analysis and atmospheric environment data analysis are presented.
