The author investigates functors \(K:\mathbb{B}\to\mathbb{A}\) such that the images of the \(\mathbb{B}\)-objects form a separating (= cogenerating) set in \(\mathbb{A}\). Then the corresponding right Kan extension adjunction induces an epireflection with staple units and a monotone-light factorization.
