The authors study the \(L^p\)-boundedness of spectral multipliers on non-compact locally symmetric spaces of rank one. The main result of the paper is an analog of the classical Mikhlin-Hörmander multiplier theorem. Some related results can be found in \textit{N. Lohoué} and \textit{M. Marias} [Math. Ann. 343, No. 3, 639--667 (2009; Zbl 1189.42006)].
