The authors proposed some models to explain the phenomena of spatio-temporal evolution of the gel submitted to some autocatalytic chemical reaction in two steps. Firstly, the authors studied the elastodynamics of a multi-component non-reactive mixture, secondly, then they added the chemical reaction to the system. Many numerical simulations are provided and applications are given for Belousov-Zhabotinsky oscillatory chemical reaction.
