The author investigates a class of integral equations and index transformations related to the modified and incomplete Bessel functions. He finds general solutions for certain kernels by using Sneddon's operational proof of the inversion formula for the Kontorevich-Lebedev transformation. In this investigation the author considers a parametric family of integral equations of the first kind, which can be treated as index transformation and generalizes the classical Kontorevich-Lebedev transformation and related operators.
