Let \(F\) be a \(p\)-adic field, \(Sp(n)\) the symplectic group of rank \(n\) over \(F\), and \({\widetilde{Sp(n)}}\) the unique (up to isomorphism) metaplectic double cover of \(Sp(n).\) Using theta correspondence, the irreducibility of the unitary principal series for \({\widetilde{Sp(n)}}\) is proven.
