The authors obtain the explicit expansion of the matrix coefficients of the middle discrete series representation of \(\text{SU}(2,2)\). They reduce this to the result of \textit{R. Vidunas} [Kyushu J. Math. 61, No.~1, 109--135 (2007; Zbl 1237.33002)] on degenerate Gaussian hypergeometric series. This sharpens their previous results of Part I of this paper [J. Funct. Anal. 185, No.~1, 297--341 (2001; Zbl 0987.22010)].
