The perturbation analysis presented in this paper is specifically directed at understanding how pulse combustor design parameters influence the oscillating velocity field associated with the gaseous combustion products in the tailpipe. The model equations are analyzed by combining Fourier series expansions with regular perturbation expansions. Some numerical studies are presented.
