The author determines the endomorphism algebra of the Kuga-Satake variety of a \(K3\) surfaces with real multiplication, using a result of \textit{B. Van Geemen} [Mich. Math. J. 56, No. 2, 375--399 (2008; Zbl 1161.14027)]. This is used to prove the Hodge conjecture for self-products of double covers of \(\mathbb P^2\) ramified along six lines.
