Stationary subdivision schemes are considered in this paper. For the approximation and convergence qualities of a subdivision scheme, it is relevant which polynomials (which order of polynomials) are reproduced by the scheme. Therefore, in this paper the authors provide a characterisation of polynomial exactness of the methods in the linear, binary and uniform situation.
