Note that in quantum-classical dynamics the effective Hamiltonian governing the non-adiabatic transitions of the light particles parametrically depends on the heavy particle(s) positions.
Typically, the many different approaches to quantum-classical dynamics, most notably surface hopping trajectories, differ in the way how the nonadiabatic transition probabilities are calculated.
