Abstract: We give counterexamples to the degeneration of the HKR spectral sequence in characteristic $p$, both in the untwisted and twisted settings. We also prove that the de Rham--$mathrmHP$ and crystalline--$mathrmTP$ spectral sequences need not degenerate.
