Abstract: We show that Grothendieck's period conjecture holds for the Kummer surface associated with the self-product of a CM elliptic curve. This means that the image of its period isomorphism is dense in its period torsor. The point is that its motive has a non-trivial transcendental part, but belongs to the Tannakian category generated by the motive of a CM elliptic curve.
