An effective method for the solution of a class of dual integral equations is given, and shown that it consists of a complete reformulation in terms of Fourier series, rather than Fourier transforms of the dual integral equation. The method has been applied to the evaluation of the charge distribution on the surface of a hollow cylinder, and to the calculation of the capacitance of the cylinder. Numerical results have established that the method is fast and reliable.
