The authors obtain the Fourier expansions of the Genocchi polynomials by using its Fourier transform, and then they generalize the Genocchi polynomials and numbers to the \(q\)-case and derive some formulas for the \(q\)-Genocchi polynomials and numbers. They also show some relations between the \(q\)-Genocchi polynomials and \(q\)-zeta functions.
