The authors investigate the boundary controllability, as well as the internal controllability, of the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation. A linearized equation is first proved to be zero controllable by means of some Carleman inequality. Then, a fixed point argument is applied to extend the result to the nonlinear equation, with the aid of the theory of sectorial operators.
