The author gives an alternate description of the Bruhat-Chevalley order on \(\mathcal J\)-classes of the Renner monoid of a reductive (algebraic) monoid (defined over an algebraically closed field) using Bruhat intersections. This description avoids using the Zariski closure that appears in the usual definition.
