The author considers a boundary value problem for first order impulsive differential-algebraic equations with causal operators. The existence of extremal solutions for the problem is proved by applying a well known monotone iterative technique. The main result (Theorem 2) is illustrated by means of an example. The existence of quasi-solutions for the problem is also discussed. The results are interesting as differential-algebraic equations appear in the mathematical modelling of various problems of applied nature.
