It is shown that a slight extension of the model proposed by \textit{D. Foata} and \textit{P. Leroux} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 87, 47-53 (1983; Zbl 0522.33004)] can be used to deduce all the other elementary identities satisfied by the Jacobi-polynomials. From this combinatorial approach also some generalizations of the classical identities are deduced, in particular some product representations of the Jacobi-polynomials using differential operators.
