A class of 2-(v,3,2) designs invariant under an Abelian group G of order v (or v-1) acting regularly (resp. semiregularly) on the point set are studied. Using some algebraic topology techniques, bounds for the order of the full automorphism group are obtained. In certain cases when G is cyclic, the full automorphism group is determined explicitly.
