Let X be the pseudo-Riemannian symmetric space SL(n, \({\mathbb{R}})/GL(n-1, {\mathbb{R}})\). In this paper the spherical distributions on X are calculated which correspond to the principal nonunitary series of representations of SL(n, \({\mathbb{R}})\) related to X. On this results the paper of the second author and \textit{M. Poel} [Compos. Math. 58, 371-397 (1986; Zbl 0593.43009)] is based.
