In a recent paper on the theory of subdynamics, \textit{Ch. Obcemea} and \textit{E. Brändas} [Ann. Phys. 151, 383-430 (1983; Zbl 0532.46048)] claimed to correct a recently published result [\textit{M. Courbage}, J. Math. Phys. 23, 646-652 (1982)]. It is shown that this criticism is unfounded. Some additional remarks are made.
