We describe a finite difference code which has been developed to simulate two-dimensional multiphase mixing. The code models the dynamics and inter-component heat transfer of a hot liquid poured into a pool of cold volatile liquid. Predictions from the code are found to be in good agreement with experimental data. In addition, a quantitative measure of ``mixing'' has been devised and used to study the effect of parametes, such as ambient pressure, melt temperature and melt particle size, on mixing.
