This work deals with the propagation of waves in a nonhomogeneous fluid. The fluid consists of two horizontal layers of two different fluids, \(Z=0\) and \(Z=h\). Waves are generated by a uniform normal pressure acting on the upper fluid surface \((Z=0)\). Results are obtained for both compressible and incompressible fluids.
