The author considers a general class of diffusion-reaction problems, which includes the diffusion of a substrate across a membrane which is facilitated by the presence of a carrier. The author establishes a priori bounds for solutions and, by applying shooting techniques to solutions to appropriate initial value problems, obtains existence results.
