By considering an obvious multiple variable analogue of the generating relation for the polynomials \(g_n^ r(x,h)\) studied by \textit{H. W. Gould} and \textit{A. T. Hopper} [Duke Math. J. 29, 51--63 (1962; Zbl 0108.06504)] the authors introduce a class of polynomials which also includes the generalized Humbert polynomials \(P_n(m,x,y,p,C)\) as its particular case.
