The authors study existence and uniqueness of the local (in time) solution of the singular parabolic problem \(u_ t=\phi(t,u,u_ x)u_{xx}\), \(0\leq x\leq 1,\;t\geq 0\), where \(\phi(t,x,p,q)\geq\phi_ 0(x)\) with \(\phi_ 0(x)\) in \(L^ 1\). The boundary conditions are considered as linearly dependent on time.
