Sequential convergence and first countability are introduced in fuzzy neighbourhood spaces, the approach differing from that of \textit{F. K. Mohannadi} and the reviewer [ibid. 29, No. 3, 371-379 (1989; Zbl 0664.54005)] for fuzzy topological spaces. First countability is seen to be a good extension. The theory is extended to fuzzy probabilistic pseudometric spaces, achieving results on Cauchy sequences and completeness.
