The concern of the paper is the reduction of classical non-holonomic Lagrangian systems with symmetry. Two cases are treated: (1) the configuration space is a Lie group \(G\) with left-invariant metric, (2) the configuration space is a principal bundle \(G\to P\to M\) and the constraint distribution defines a connection.
