In previous work [\textit{W. Schuster}, Math. Semesterber. 45, 77-94 (1998; Zbl 0902.52014)], the author developed a ``parallelogram construction'' which maps an \(n\)-gon in the complex plane onto a regular \(n\)-gon. Here he generalizes this to a procedure which in the limit maps an analytic Jordan curve onto an ellipse.
