The purpose of the paper is to establish the numerical stability property of Zakian \(I_{MN}\) recursions [cf. \textit{V. Zakian}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 50, 191-222 (1975; Zbl 0297.41012)] for delay differential equations. It is shown that the \(I_{MN}\) recursions are \(P\)-stable if, and only if, \(M\) is chosen such that \(N-2\leq M\leq N_1\) and \(M\geq 0\). A review of Zakian \(I_{MN}\) approximants and recursions is also presented.
