    The paper presents statistical analysis-based methods for the on-line checking of adequacy of the mathematical model of a linear discrete-time multivariable dynamic system for real time operation, which involves the current output system measurements. Algorithms are given to detect the shifts of sequences of deviations and to evaluate the corresponding covariance matrices. Comments on the latest detection of model inadequacy are included.
