Supposition is tied to the meaning given to words or terms in logic. Author revises his view of Burley's simple supposition. Personal supposition means the word `Socrates' stand for a particular person. Simple supposition means that the word `men' may stand for the common nature of all humans, or for the universal concept of humanness as held in the mind. The new variant is that both Ockham and Burley take simple supposition to refer to individuals, but one concrete in the world (Burley) and the other in the mind (Ockham). Neither are committed to reference to a universal, either concrete or mental.
