An approach is developed in accordance with which the rheological behaviour of non-Newtonian fluids is governed by the non-linear kinetics of processes involving the restoration and disruption of bonds between the structural elements of the medium. The corresponding kinetic equations are used as closing relationships in describing the unsteady motions of such fluids in the gap between the cylinders of a rotational viscosimeter.
