A robust neuro-fuzzy controller with tuning mechanism is proposed for tracking control of composite multivariable systems. The control acts by self-tuning the consequent membership functions of the fuzzy controllers. It is proved that the overall system with the proposed controller is uniform ultimately bounded. The control of a two-link robot carrying a heavy load is simulated to illustrate the results.
