The authors examine the diffraction of elastic waves on infinite cone-shaped bodies with an angular opening (a hole). The approach is based on the use of two potentials (longitudinal and transversal) which obey the scalar wave equation. The consideration starts from the solution given by Rvachev by using the \(R\)-function theory. An algorithm providing the numerical realization of the solution is given. The paper is very dense in information and can be read only with the use of references given by the authors.
