The author develops an efficient framework for the macroscopic analysis of micromechanics of ductile single crystals undergoing finite elastic-plastic deformations, based on the assumption that inelastic deformation is solely due to the crystallographic slip. A numerical simulation of finite-strain elastic-plastic tension test illustrates the theory.
