Stability properties of linear conservative gyroscopic systems are studied. A new method of finding stability regions, based on mechanism and criteria for gyroscopic stabilisation, is presented. The theory of eigenvectors interaction is proposed. This leads to a 3-dimensional analysis, which finds the regions of stability, divergence and flutter of a simple model of a rotating spaceship.
