I first set up and solve two initial boundary value problems for the Lavrent'ev-Bitsadze equation with delayed argument \[ u_{xx} (x,y)+ \text{sgn} y u_{yy} (x,y)- H(x)u (x-\tau,y) =0 \] in domains of a special kind; \(0<\tau \equiv \text{const}\), and \(H(\xi)\) is the Heaviside function.
