The author investigates regular central quadrics in affine spaces of dimension \(\geq 4\) over finite fields which contain lines. The 1-isometries of a regular central quadric with reference to an element of the field are induced by the metric. Counterexamples are given in the exceptional case and in case of dimension 3.
