The paper is devoted to the scattering of TE and TM electromagnetic plane waves by one-dimensional rough perfectly conducting surfaces. The incident fields are either harmonic plane waves or beams with finite width. An integral equation approach is used to obtain approximate solutions in the case of small roughness, and the calculation of the differential scattering cross-section is discussed.
