The present papers deals with the long-term behaviour of closed Jackson networks with an infinite number of nodes (ICJN) and the customers inside. The proposed approach is to consider an ICJN as an interaction particle process, namely as the zero-range process. It is assumed that the transition speeds can be dependent on the location of a cell (nonhomogeneity). In Section 2 necessary definitions are given and the existence theorem is proved. The results of Section 3 yield invariant measures and the character of transience. Section 4 is devoted some special cases.
