The authors study a 2D system of primitive compressible equations with the hydrostatic condition in a rectangle. One dimension is horizontal, the other is vertical. Boundary conditions for the velocity is zero. Initial density is exponentially decreasing with the depth, the pressure is proportional to the density. The authors prove the existence and uniqueness of the global weak solution, which also has some regularity properties.
